OVERVIEW
PROBLEM STATEMENT
SOLUTION
Planning a product design to solve user problems regarding car rental who need to inform the types of cars, related information, availability to customers and design a pick-up and drop-off system through the application.
Many of the business service in the car rental sector pay less attention to the convenience and complete information for potential customers to get the car they really want.
For easy access, reach and flexibility in car rental, the mobile application is a solution that can help users find the car according to their needs
Create an application that provides features:
I use the usability testing method to find out how the user interacts with this application and what their opinions are.
This stage is carried out to analyze whether the design made is applicable for user use. I did usability testing to 3 people as users. Not only finding out the interactions and shortcomings of the application design, I also conducted additional interviews so that I could get detailed information about how they felt when trying the designs I made. Below is a collection of feedback from the three users who have done usability testing.
The following is the result of the usability testing that has been carried out. I use Maze in usability testing so that the analysis of the results is more complete and the testing process is easier. The result data displayed are usability score, misclick rate, duration, user success in completing tasks, and heat maps and click maps.
Based on the test results and user feedback that has been collected, in general the features can be accepted and understood by users, it's just that the UI that is too simple and plain is less attractive. From these results, it was decided to improve the UI design as well as improve the layout and add a login method to the application
From all the case studies that have been done, although this is a challenge, it is very useful for me to know the Design Thinking process. The application of design thinking in the formation of a product turns out to be very long but has a big impact in creating good and useful products for its users. In this case study for a car rental problem based on the overall results of usability testing, I got a lot of insight. Although the usability score is acceptable, improvements and developments still need to be done so that the design can be better.
